Community Guidelines

The Bet Pool community — including our Discord server and any comments or messages on the Service — is a place for members to learn, share insight and support one another. To keep it welcoming and safe for everyone, all members must follow these guidelines. They apply alongside our Terms of Service.
Our shared standards
Be respectful, be honest, and help keep the community positive. If you wouldn't say it to someone's face, don't post it here.
What is not allowed
Harassment
No harassing, bullying, stalking or targeting other members. Repeated unwanted contact or pile-ons are not tolerated.
Hate speech & discrimination
No content that attacks, degrades or promotes hatred against people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other protected characteristic.
Threats & violence
No threats of violence or harm toward any person, and no content that encourages or glorifies self-harm or harm to others.
Offensive behaviour
No abusive language, sexually explicit material, gratuitously graphic content, or behaviour that a reasonable person would find offensive or inappropriate for a shared community.
Spam
No spam, flooding, repetitive posting, unsolicited advertising, referral or affiliate links, or promotion of unrelated products or services.
Impersonation
Do not impersonate The Bet Pool staff, other members, or any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
Illegal activity
No content or conduct that is unlawful, that promotes illegal activity, or that encourages anyone to break the law. Discussion must always comply with applicable laws, including those relating to gambling and to persons under 18.
Sharing accounts
Your membership is for you alone. Do not share, sell, lend or provide access to your account or its content to anyone else. Accounts found to be shared may be suspended or terminated.
Exploiting the platform
Do not attempt to hack, disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise exploit the Service or community, or bypass access controls, payment or membership systems.
A note on content & risk
The Bet Pool provides sports analytics and information only. No member, including staff, may guarantee profits, winnings or sporting outcomes. Please share information responsibly, keep discussion respectful, and remember that betting involves risk. Members must be 18 or older.
Consequences for breaking the rules
We take these guidelines seriously. Depending on the nature and severity of a breach, and whether it is repeated, we may take any of the following actions at our discretion:
- Warning — a first or minor breach may result in a formal warning and removal of the offending content.
- Temporary suspension — repeated or more serious breaches may result in your account or community access being suspended for a period of time.
- Permanent termination — severe breaches, or continued violations after warnings, may result in permanent removal from the community and termination of your account without refund, in accordance with our Terms of Service.
Serious matters, including illegal activity or credible threats, may be reported to the relevant authorities.
Reporting a problem
If you see behaviour that breaks these guidelines, or you feel unsafe, please report it to support@thebetpool.com. We review reports confidentially and act where appropriate.

We may update these guidelines from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they last changed.
